ice skating

largest natural ice surface

In winter, Lake Weissensee transforms into Europe's largest prepared natural ice rink – with approx. 6.5 km² of ice.

Whether you fancy a leisurely lap of the 25 km ice rink around the lake, a few laps of the 400-metre sprint track or simply a relaxed glide along the ice.

As soon as the eastern part of Lake Weissensee is frozen over, you can easily reach the natural ice rink via our private beach – put on your ice skates and glide away!

We provide additional winter fun ourselves: with our own ice resurfacer, we prepare a curling rink, a ice hockey rink and a shuttle service to the large ice rink at Lake Weissensee. Weather permitting.

  • Free admission to the ice rink for guests staying at the hotel

  • Drying room and boot dryer

  • Access directly from the private beach (weather permitting)

  • Western part freezes around mid/late December

  • Eastern section – weather dependent

  • Alternative Dutch 11-City Tour 18 January – 31 January
  • Ice Master Team – Safety on the ice
