About us

The Lilg family – your hosts

At our holiday farm, we live and work as a family, hand in hand – with a deep love of nature, genuine solidarity and great joy in giving our guests an unforgettable holiday.

Michael, our jack-of-all-trades and passionate host, takes care of the farm, distils our popular fine brandy, keeps the farm bar and accounts running smoothly – and has the right solution for every problem. Repairs? No problem.

Ines, Michael's wife, is the friendly face at reception and in the back office. She looks after the pets, takes care of employees, organises everything to do with the website and portals – and is the proud mother of her daughter Helena.

Helena already helps out diligently on the farm, is everywhere on the farm and loves to make children's eyes light up.

Barbara, Michael's mum, lovingly conjures up a dream of flowers and gardens around the house and helps out every day with breakfast for our guests.

Hans, Michael's dad, makes sure that everything around the farm is clean, well-maintained and in good working order – and also lends a hand with the farming.

Our farm – history

Our farm has a long history:

1602, it was founded from the original "Gasser Farm" through the division of the Obergasserhof and the Untergasserhof. Since then, farming has been carried out here with passion, responsibility and a deep-rooted connection to nature. Today, we are already in the 4th generation – naturally using organic farming methods.

Our buildings also tell their own stories:

  • The Haus Bergblick was 1962 and completely renovated in 2025 – today it combines modern architecture with lots of wood, natural materials and cosy living comfort.

  • The Wiesenhäusl and Fischerhäusl were originally simple agricultural buildings that were lovingly converted into holiday homes in the post-war period.

  • We took over the Seebungalow and Meadow Bungalow were taken over from our neighbour in 2014 and renovated in 2019 – today they are popular holiday accommodations right on the lake.

  • Our hayrack, a farm building around 150 years old, was carefully adapted in 2013 and now houses our games room, yoga room and fitness area – a piece of tradition with a new lease of life.

Our farm combines history, family and authentic nature experiences – a place where guests can feel at home, relax and simply enjoy their time.

    special features

    spring water

Here, you can enjoy water in its purest form: fresh spring water flows from every tap, sourced directly from the mountain pasture behind the Brunn. Crystal clear, natural and pure – without long transport routes or additives.

Our farm has been supplied by this spring for generations. It not only provides us with particularly tasty drinking water, but also gives us the good feeling of bringing a piece of unadulterated nature into our home every day. A little piece of the mountains – right in your glass.

    Sustainable energy

WWe heat with the power of nature – clean, regional and environmentally friendly!

At our holiday farm, we have been relying on a 100% sustainable and regional energy supply for many years – completely without oil. Back in 2001, we switched to a modern wood chip plant that runs on wood from our own forest. This not only heats our houses, but also produces hot water – efficiently, cleanly and CO₂-neutrally.

A special dust filter also ensures particularly good exhaust gas values. Since 2014/15, a solar thermal system has been supporting our heating system. It is intelligently controlled and distributes the available energy optimally. This allows us to minimise heat loss and use every resource particularly sparingly.

For our electricity supply, we rely on a large photovoltaic system, which allows us to generate most of our energy ourselves. We even produce more than we consume – surplus electricity is fed into the grid.

Our goal: Future-oriented, sustainable management – for our guests, our family and for nature at Lake Weissensee.
